Haven’t been updating much, have we?

Schools and universities have been keeping all our members a tad busy with their studies, so even our projects during the last month have not really taken off as well as they usually do. Anyhow, let’s get around to updating you with the latest news.

Our Collaboration project, unfortunately, is on hold now because of the reason I mentioned above. Not to fret though! We always have our Monthly Duties to look forward to! For October, the theme is shapes and numbers. We’ll post the best creations as soon as we get them. The deadline isn’t up yet~

For now however you can have Cloud stock images by Psychicmind!

Totally, there are 12 3000×4000 pixel images and they’re completely free to use!

During the spring, IGFX has been quite busy. In particular, there has been a creativity storm with a new project coming up. The project in question involves featuring the most prominent pictures in the wake of each month that has been completed in the monthly duties. After constructive comments has been made the votes are counted and the results posted.

Hence, we have some catching up to do. The three pictures below were from the prior months.

The first one spawned from the mind of Mira Kaiba. After receiving the most of votes for the month of March with the theme “Spring“, it was chosen to stand for that month.

The second was created by Karuto, also in the theme of “Spring“. After the votes had been counted in the month of April, hers was the one to be featured here.

The third came forth from Inked+, after the May’s monthly duties had been completed. The theme was “Typography“.

For the remaining autumn, we have a lot of things planned in the same line of thought. More monthly works will be featured and further updates will be posted. See you then.

June is here! And with another new month comes another free wallpaper from Intuition GFX. This time a Zetsubou Sensei vectory swirly calendar design by KuroTan/Kurofureta. Just click on the image to download the wallpaper.

Limited choices. Limited resources. That’s the hurdle in the recently concluded weekly challenge. Proposed by Lovebeat, iGFXers’ will take on making signatures from a limited choices of images/extracts.

The Mechanics

At the front page of yinyanganime.com, there is a widget that displays 5 random images from the site’s gallery. The challenge: use one of those images to create a signature. No refreshing and refreshing until you get an image you like. That’d be cheating, and that’s a definite no-no! But if you got a nice image as you first loaded the page, well, lucky you! If not, well, that’s the challenge right there!
